GBmoto Racing and Kasey Wyatt Enter Ducati 848 Challenge
GBmoto Racing, recently confirmed as a BSB Elite team for 2012, have teamed with promising young rider Kasey Wyatt to enter the Ducati 848 Challenge next season. Kasey has a long association with GBmoto, as they have supported him through the Aprilia Superteens series and British GP125s in previous years. This is now a chance for Kasey to move to the next level in his career and perform on larger capacity machinery.
GBmoto's Team Principal, Mark Smith-Halvorsen is glad to be putting emphasis back into Kasey Wyatt's racing, as he still sees real potential in his riding ability. The team is keen to expand their involvement across additional National Championships, nurturing young rider talent for the future.
GBmoto Racing view the Ducati 848 Challenge as a very credible and exciting class for riders to improve their riding and showcase their talents. Kasey will be supported by the whole GBmoto effort and will have the team's guidance and support throughout 2012.
The Ducati 848 Challenge enters its third season in 2012 and has gone from strength to strength. With the additional of Neal Hodgson as series ambassador, and his work in mentoring young riders, this series now represents a real opportunity for emerging talent to take the next step, infront of British Superbike crowds.
Initial sponsorship for Kasey's 2012 campaign has been obtained from P&H Motorcycles, who have been instrumental in securing the bike and will support the effort with a spares package and technical information. The Station, a London based television post-production company specialising in high quality video editing, audio mixing and graphics creation, are also contributing and will act as entrants. Additional expertise is under discussion from other technical partners.
Kasey Wyatt, Rider:
I'm very happy with the bike, and the series we have chosen to enter. I feel this opportunity that GBmoto have given me is a really good chance to show people what I can do. It's also given me the opportunity to learn from top class riders and technicians, to get the best out of my bike and racing. I'd like thank all my sponsors that have made this dream come true. I am really looking forward to next year and can not wait for testing.
Mark Smith-Halvorsen, Team Principal:
Helping young riders utilise their talent and make the best of their abilities is the ultimate way to put something back into the sport and we are glad to be able to continue to do that once more, with Kasey Wyatt. The team have benefited from his work and passion during our first year in the BSB paddock and during his ‘time off’ as a rider, Kasey has watched and learned. He has a new appetite and focus for what lies ahead. The whole of GBmoto is behind the effort and we see the Ducati 848 Challenge as a very credible support class, and a great opportunity for us to expand our exposure and showcase the team's potential. We are really grateful to the people coming on board to help us with this already; big thanks to Paul and Marcus at P&H Motorcycles and Phill Clarke and his fellow Directors at The Station. |
